Materials
Carbon Madras is committed to using non-toxic, natural and organic materials. We only work with certified organic cotton. This means that our organic cotton is grown without toxic chemicals and genetically modified seeds. Also it uses 88% less water than conventionally grown cotton and emits 45% less greenhouse gases.
All our cotton is sourced from farms where freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining is respected, where there is no child labour, and in which working conditions are safe and hygienic.
Organic cotton is softer, hypoallergenic and last for a long time. But the most important benefit is protecting the ecosystem, reducing wastage of water, and ensuring a safer working environment for the farmers and manufacturers.

PACKAGING
Our packaging is 100% plastic-free, utilizing reusable and recycled paper for all materials including tape. No extra branded materials are sent with orders to reduce single-use waste. Paper mailers for small orders decrease input material and boost transport efficiency.

PRODUCTION
Our supply chain prioritizes fair treatment of workers and environmental impact reduction. Partnering with ethical manufacturers from all over India, we closely oversee production for optimal working conditions. Our fabrics use eco-friendly dyes without harmful chemicals or heavy metals. Our partner implements closed-loop water systems, returning only what's environmentally safe.
